Spring Conference   Lucy Kahn On Track. Postcard delivered. It will be posted on the SQC website when ready. SQC Program is posted on website. Bio's to follow - will likely be posted on the website as well. Keynote speaker confirmed and abstract has been received. Much to accomplish now. We have two volunteers.
NEQC   S. Liebesman

The Fall conference went very well considering the economy. There were over 200 attendees at the conference, 40 people at the pre conference seminars and 25 people at the Post conference seminars. And there were 56 speakers on a variety of subjects. NEQC did not make the profit expected due to the bad economy, but at least NEQC did not loose money. The feedback was very good.

This year's budget is $14,000. They are not planning any seminars this spring. It might be an opportunity to advertize our courses, especially to the nearby sections. I sent the chairman, Jay Patel, information about the Spring Quality Conference. I've asked him to post the information on their web site.

At the RAMS Conference last week I met Fred Schenkelberg. Fred is the incoming chair of the Reliability Division. He is speaking at the Spring Quality Conference. He and I would like to form a joint interest group for members of the Reliability and Electronics & Communications Divisions in North Jersey.

Finally I have a set of opportunities for people with experience in transportation and related fields:

Positions: Electrical Inspector, Special Track Work Inspector, Structural Steel Inspectors, Communications & Signal Inspectors, Limber Inspectors, Paint Inspectors, & Chemical Inspectors.
Company: The Kohl Group
Location: NYC area
Email: Your resume, a listing of your licenses & certifications, and your salary requirements to Ann Boschetti: aboschetti@kohlgroup.com

Publicity   Carl Perini

Section emails to Region 3 continue on a monthly basis and include: general meeting, SQC, education offerings, and special events.
